Loved this discussion. Thanks, Evan and Mary. I was struck by this line and how it applies to a lot of industries. I work in banking, and you've no doubt heard about the Wells Fargo account fraud scandal. A culture (and incentive system) of grow at all costs turned into employees who were opening fraudulent accounts to hit sales goals. Whether in tech or elsewhere, an obsession with growth metrics can be destructive to the company and those they're meant to serve.
